Service 101

We have had the opportunity to participate in service projects every month and they have been AMAZING!  Just last week we went to the Food Bank and learned that the Food Bank does more than just provide food to families that are in need.  They also provide heat for homes, back packs for children, assist veterans in finding jobs, and much more.  We were able to sort donated food into different care boxes that are given to families in need.  It was such a good opportunity to be able to help the community.

In January, we went to Salem and volunteered at Friday’s Kids.  Friday’s kids is a nonprofit organization that gives caregivers of special needs children a break for the night.  The volunteers were able to spend 1-on-1 time with the children while the caregivers are able to relax, run errands, have a date night, etc.

These have been such fun and rewarding experiences!!  Come out and serve with us!
